Thesis Abstracts

HGRG has an established tradition of supporting postgraduate research in historical geography. In addition to the financial assistance available, we are keen to provide a network of intellectual support both within and outside the academy.

Each year both our annual Postgraduate Conference and postgrad session at the RGS-IBG Annual Conference showpiece the excellent and innovative research being undertaken in postgraduate historical geography, and we are especially keen to provide a forum for disseminating this important work.

We are pleased therefore to issue a call for abstracts of recently completed doctoral theses in historical geography for publication in our tri-annual newsletter. There are no temporal or spatial limitations, and we’d like to encourage all completed doctoral postgraduates in geography and related disciplines to consider submitting.

Abstracts of no more than 250 words, with relevant contact details, should be sent via e-mail to the HGRG Publicity Officer, Dr Peter Merriman.
